The Benelux is attempting another season of Next Top Model. I say attempting as this season’s episodes seem lacking. Lacking of vision, glamour and fashion.
Let me share with you my view…
The program seems to have been made on a shoe string, the girls are sleeping in bunk beds and the production gives me the feeling the recession is making a big difference to the budget. The girls where made to do a shoot for Ecco, not the best choice fashion wise and one of the main sponsors is C&A, these are not your most fashionable brands from most point of views.
What about the girls and their appearance?
Whoever is responsible for their hair needs help. We all love the show where the hair gets cut off. When done properly, it serves a dual purpose. Firstly, to teach the girls that they need to be open to changing their appearance at a regular basis and secondly to make them look better. Or so it would seem….let me share some before and after shots with you. They tell aspiring model Bianca they want to give her an edgy, editorial look. Well, they could have done that by giving her Rihanna’s haircut, now she looks like punk rock junkie from the seventies and not in a good way.
